Presbyterian University College. The College opens at a time when university education in the country is facing many challenges in terms of funding, quality and access. It is also coming at a time when there is so much concern about indiscipline in the society. A Presbyterian University is therefore very timely. The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, as a pioneer of education in the country, has established several schools especially at the doorstep of rural communities as a God given duty to offer education to all, especially the socially deprived. It is the same concept that is behind the establishment of this College, hence the decision to concentrate the university at Abetifi (Kwahu), Akropong (Akwapem) and Agogo (Asante-Akyem) |
